Featuring a telescopic shaft, the HLA86 can be extended from 2.6m to 3.3m without the need for tools. Simply twist the rotatable clamping sleeve to easily adjust the length.
The cutter bar is also adjustable through 115° without the need for tools, allowing for head-height, side and ground level cutting.
Featuring a double sided blade, the HLA86 trimmer delivers a precise, clean finish on your hedges and shrubs.
For storage and transportation the cutter bar can be folded up to reduce the length to just 180 cm, whilst fully extended the length is 260-330 cm.

The HLA86 Hedge Trimmer is part of the STIHL AP range, using the AP System batteries and chargers. STIHL recommend using the 36 volt lithium-ion AP200S battery which provides a working time of up to 144 minutes for the HLA86. Maximum working times are:
